What are a few tips to know before visiting 1623 + Craft Culture?
We are looking forward to your visit to 1623 Brewing Company taproom in Eldersburg, Maryland. We want you to have the most enjoyable time with your friends and family. So here are just a few tips to make your visit the best possible experience:
- The taproom is located at 5975 Exchange Drive. The building is in an industrial park, and we are at the back of that park.
- You may park either in front or in the lined spaces at the rear of the brewery.
- The main entrance is at the corner of the building directly under our sign – Suite L.
- There are no reservations necessary. But if you have a party of more than 20, we ask that you email us ahead at events@1623brewing.com. The reservation will require a rental fee and minimum spend.
- Dogs are allowed on our Patio. Since opening our kitchen, we unfortunately cannot have them in the Taproom.
- NO outside food is allowed! Enjoy our great selection on our food menu. Any parties with catering must use Lib’s Catering.
- Once you arrive, find your favorite seat inside or out. Our staff will come to you with menus and take your order when you are ready.
- You will be asked for your identification regardless of your age. It is a fail-safe we have implemented with Carroll County to reduce the chances of under-age drinking. Vertical ID’s and expired ID’s are not acceptable forms of identification.
- Anyone allowing someone under the age of 21 to consume alcoholic beverages will be asked to leave.
- The server will ask you for a credit card to start your order. When you close your tab for the day you may switch cards, split tabs, or pay with cash.
- All tabs left open at the end of the night will be charged any outstanding balances on that tab plus a 20% gratuity to the credit card on file for staff service.
- We do not hold your credit card. Once a tab is established your credit card should be immediately returned to you.
- 1623 schedules music, trivia nights and other events regularly for your enjoyment. Please see our Events page for the detailed schedule.

Do you take reservations?
We take reservations for parties of 20+ that will include a rental fee and a minimum spend. To inquire about an event please fill out our Host An Event Form!
Do you host events? Birthdays/Graduations/Etc?
We would love to host your event. Please inquire here Host An Event!
If your party would like catering, you must go through our catering partnership with Lib’s Catering.
Do you have non-alcoholic options?
We have Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Lemonade, Sweet/UnSweet Tea as well as a Mocktail on tap!
Are you kid friendly?
Yes, but we ask that all children must stay with parent/guardian at ALL times. No children under 21 may be left unattended at a table.
Are you pet friendly?
We allow our furry friends to be on the Patio but not in the taproom, thank you for your understanding!
Can we bring in outside food?
No outside food or beverages are allowed in the Taproom! Hungry? Grab something from our food menu!
For catered event reservations you must go through our partnership, Lib’s Catering. Please inquire at info@1623brewing.com. Parties must use our sole catering partner.
Can we bring in outside alcohol/non-alcoholic beverages?
Any outside alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages is NOT PERMITTED at our establishment. All beverages must be purchased through 1623. Take a look at our drink menu!
Do you have Happy Hour?
We have Happy Hour every Tuesday-Friday from 2-6pm and a Late Night Happy Hour on Sundays from 4-8pm!
Do you have outdoor seating?
We have a patio area located directly behind the taproom that is shaded in the Summer and have heaters in the Winter!

Gluten free beers?
We do not have any gluten free beers. Our seltzer is technically ‘GF’ but since it is brewed in the same facility as our non-GF beers we cannot consider it Gluten Free.
Do you play sports on TVs?
We have 13 TVs that have a wide range of sports to be played! If you do not see something on that you would like, just ask a bartender to change it for you!
Do you sell beer to-go?
Yes we have 6-pack, 4-pack and 32 oz crowler options. You can typically get any beer that is on tap in a crowler as long it is not a nitro beer.
Do you have weekly events?
We have Trivia every Wednesday at 6:30pm and Music Bingo every Thursday at 6:30pm.
We do have Themed Trivia sporadically.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, you can order gift cards in the taproom!

We are currently distributing throughout Maryland and into PA.
