Nordic Haze

At 1623 we enjoy the craze of the haze, but we limit them in production and release. As with all our menu, we want to show off all the styles. Nordic Haze is our first New England Hazy IPA to get a curtain call. The first rendition highlighted the Norwegian Kviek strain—ESPE. The 2021 version will highlight Hornindal. Hornindal loves the high heat of fermentation and blends extraordinarily well with Australian Galaxy hops that deliver tropical fruit flavors. Look for complex and layered fruits with pineapple jumping into the nose, while stone fruits and dried fruit flavors linger in the end.

Take your time drinking this one. Cold delivers the pineapple, but as it warms even more dank citrus and even black currant appear.
